GIIR Association - Membership
The Geneva Institute of International Relations (GIIR) is established as an association governed by articles of association respecting the Swiss Civil Code. It is an apolitical and non-confessional, non-profit association based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The GIIR Association's goal is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge, inform civil society and public decision-makers, and academics on major international issues and problems.
The main topics of interest of the Association are International Relations, Defense and Security, International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights, Migration, Refugees and IDPs and Global Health. To fulfill these missions, the GIIR Association will develop activities such as the publication of articles and reports on the GIIR website, the organization of online courses and conferences.
Conditions to apply to become a member of the Geneva Institute of International Relations Association:
Those who wish to become part of the GIIR Association can contact Mr. Guillaume Fournier and Mr. Marco Pangallo at contact@giir.ch.
Candidates willing to become members will be examined during the next General Assembly of the Association.
The statutes of the GIIR Association are available in French (official) and English (translation) at the request of applicants before the General Assembly.
Once approved by the General Assembly, members will need to participate actively in the GIIR Association's activities. Members are also subject to an annual fixed membership fee of 60 CHF necessary to pay the general expenses.

- All candidates must have at least a Master in International Relations, Defense & Security, Political Science, European Affairs, Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law or Medicine and Health (Public Health, Global Health, Epidemiology, etc.).
- Candidates that do not have a Master in those subjects but that have technical skills such as:
- Marketing & Communication: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Platforms Management, Social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), Google Analytics, Networking
- Design: Graphic design, Video creation, and editing
- Other: Website management, Moodle, Crowdfunding
- Those who are in the process of completing their Master's may apply if the GIIR Committee recommends them.
- Necessary Skills needed: MS Office, Google Drive, One Drive, Email, PowerPoint, social media, web, research & Writing, languages (English and/or French).
